The Bihar government has launched the Sindhu Darshan Teerth Yatra Financial Assistance Scheme 2026, approved in a Cabinet meeting on a Tourism Department proposal, offering eligible residents a post-pilgrimage reimbursement of 50 percent of total travel expenses up to a maximum cap of Rs 20,000 — whichever is lower — for completing the Sindhu Darshan Yatra to the Indus River in Ladakh, with eligibility limited to permanent Bihar residents aged 18 and above and capped at 100 pilgrims per year, with documentation including original travel tickets, accommodation proof, photographic evidence, resident certificate, and bank account details required for reimbursement processing.
