Íslandshótel Selects Aven Hospitality to Unify Hotel Commerce Across 18 Properties
Iceland's largest hotel company, Íslandshótel, selects Aven Hospitality's SynXis CRS platform to consolidate booking and GDS distribution across 18 properties.

Íslandshótel properties across Iceland unify distribution with Aven Hospitality
Iceland’s largest hotel operator, Íslandshótel, has signed an agreement with global hospitality technology provider Aven Hospitality to centralize direct booking and Global Distribution System (GDS) connectivity across 18 of its properties. The multi-property deployment leverages Aven’s SynXis platform to unify commerce channels, simplify distribution management, and elevate the digital booking experience for corporate travel managers, leisure agencies, and guests worldwide.
Unifying Hotel Commerce on the SynXis Platform
Operating 19 hotels across Iceland under prominent brands such as Hotel Reykjavík, Fosshotel, and Hilton Reykjavík, Íslandshótel has chosen to consolidate its commercial infrastructure into a single, cohesive cloud ecosystem. The transition integrates direct booking engines, corporate agent tools, and worldwide GDS connections onto Aven’s SynXis Central Reservation System (CRS).
By replacing fragmented systems with a unified commerce platform, Íslandshótel aims to eliminate operational redundancies while preserving mission-critical integrations within its broader technology stack. The new architecture enables real-time rate parity, automated inventory synchronization, and enriched content delivery across both direct and third-party channels.
Expanding GDS Reach and Corporate Travel Distribution
The migration equips Íslandshótel with advanced distribution tools specifically tailored for high-yield corporate accounts, travel management companies (TMCs), and international leisure consortia:
- Aven Booking Engine: Delivering a responsive, localized guest direct booking flow with dynamic packaging and loyalty recognition.
- Corporate & Travel Agent Portal: Providing corporate travel planners and travel agencies with streamlined access to negotiated corporate rates, group allotments, and instant confirmation workflows.
- Global Distribution System Connectivity: Expanding international visibility across Sabre, Amadeus, and Travelport to capture high-value corporate itineraries traveling to Reykjavik and regional destinations.
